Hi Paul: I had that problem with my Super C but, may be it isn't the same thing? My problem was with the linkage between the gas lever, governor, and the rod between the governor and the carburetor. All of that has got to run smooth or you are going to have the kind of problem that I had. I believe that my biggest problem was the linkage between my governor and the carburetor. It was rubbing against the casting. Then after straightening that out, I found that it wasn't hanging in the carburetor link straight, it had a binding action. Hope this helps. Bob
