I can not help you with the price of a head, but if the tires are good and the tin is straight by all means BUY IT. There are in my mind very few tractors that are comparible to the 400. They are a work horse and a nice tractor. Does it have T/A? Where is the head cracked? can it be welded or brazed? Just a few thoughts for you. Good luck and keep us posted
