For those of you that weighted in
on the purchase on an H with a
shifting probblem,but with pretty
much else on the plus side this
follow up.The fellow did return
from Florida,I bought the H for
$700.00,it started first time over
in 20 degree weather,runs and idles like a dream,had been painted with a cheap paint that
faded,but tin work is in great
shape.About the toothfairy,I quit
believing in him when I was about
five,but believed everything that
that H owner told me (remember my
comment about honest seller???)
Anyway I now own an H with a
fixable cure on the shifting problem,but also has a clicking noise coming from the rear end
(tranny??) forward and reverse
when you get it going.Never had
a chance to drive it any distance
because of all the damm ice around
here,and then there's that tooth-
fairy thing,anyway any thoughts
would help( comments about should
have known better have been gone
over pretty much by the wife!!!!)
