Joe,
If the pump is frozen you wouldn't be able to let the clutch out as it would stop the engine. It must be some kind of blockage in the hydraulic passages if it pulls down the engine when you pull back the lever. Dick is right in that you will probably have to take the pump assy out if you want to fix it. Roger
