Secrets of the Rear Main Seal

Looks as though the rear main oil seal on my 300U is leaking again. So far, two unsuccessful attempts to fix it have been made. I'm not doing the work myself, and the work is covered by warranty, but I would like to get off this merry-go-round, hopefully before the outfit which is doing the work goes bankrupt. Is there some secret to getting these felt seals to hold oil known to only "old" Farmall guys???? If so, would someone mind sharing it??!!??
