Dave, the dipstick is 11 3/4 inches long overall. From the washer that prevents the stick from falling into the liftall to the end of the stick is 11 3/8 inches. Markings measured from the end of the stick that is in the oil are: 2 In. from the end is a line on the stick. From that line moving up the stick is a 1 inch shaded area labeled "FILL->". The arrow points to the line that is 2 inches from the end of the stick. The operators manual states "check to see that the oil is up to the FULL mark on the bayonet gauge".
