Hi .... to calculate acres per hour in theory use the following equation . . . . (speed in mph) (width of the implement in feet) _____________________________________________ 8.25 So, the equation reads ... speed times width divided by 8.25 equals acres per hour The 8.25 is a constant used in the formula. Also you have to figure in turning and stops to unplug. But if you mowed around and around and never stopped taking a full swath ... this would give you a close answer. Probably the true efficiency for mowing is 85 %. So, take you answer times 85% to get a more realistic answer which takes into effect turning and stops. Good luck.
