After doing a root canal on the grease hole for the water pump, I found no old hardned grease. I was able to get down to the shaft (carefully) and could feel it rotate when I moved the fan. I guess to must just be full... Sorry for the alarm, but I keep the old girl greased up and this concerned me when it wouldn't take any more. Thanks for the advice.
