Lo boy Clutch

A friend has a Cub Lo boy that will not go in gear after pushing in the clutch (engine running). You can see the clutch and pressure plate, it's out in the open in front on the differential and looks like it is working properly. Anybody familiar with this one? It's got me stumped. Probably ought to know year of manufacture on it too.
