Thanks... Personally, I like the idea of walking/breathing/etc... :) That's $.02 is worth a little more these days. No, I plan to loosen the soil via disc/plow or what ever suggestions I get. Then pull the "loosened" stump from the ground (hitching to the lower area of the tractor). I have been using shovel, maddock & come-along to remove them. I haven't yet purchased the tractor yet, & I would rather not "break" it on it's first chore if you know what I mean. I'm trying to find suggestions of loosening the stumps as well as first ground breaking. As I have the disc plow, I guess I will need a set of harrows or clutivator plows? If so, why... I know how to do the stuff with a tiller, You would think I would know how to work it with a tractor. Sincerely, clueless... Ga-Scott p.s.:Still looking for photos... Thanks for the b-hog photo Mike. Oil Bath Air Filters - by Chris Pratt. Some of us grew up thinking that an air filter was a paper thing that allowed air to pass while trapping dirt particles of a particles of a certain size. What a surprise to open up your first old tractor's air filter case and find a can that appears to be filled with the scrap metal swept from around a machine shop metal lathe. To top that off, you have a cup with oil in it ("why would you want to lubricate your carburetor?"). On closer examination (and some reading in a AC D-14 service manual), I found out that this is a pretty ingenious method of cleaning the air in the tractor's intake tract.
