The nuts should be hex, the bolts should have square heads on them, this so they will not turn when you are tightening the nuts. It is very hard to find square headed nuts anymore so some people are using hex headed bolts in there place. Make for a real bad day if these hex bolts and nuts are rusted up, you almost have to cut them off with a torch or nut driver. There is a place that sells square headed bolts and someone listed them a little while back but forgot who there were. I may self look around the bone yards when I get to one or while ording a part from a bone yard ask them if the can ship me a few square headed bolts I may need. I have even welded points on the hex headed nuts to make square bolts & nuts.
