Jeremy, your right about finding somebody capable of welding one. A little story about welding a manifold. I have a friend that can weld anything, makes a living at it. Another friend that CAN'T weld anything. I overhauled a 77 oliver gas for him, the manifold was cracked so left it off when I put the engine in the frame. Instead of giving the manifold to the welder man, he bolted it on the engine and welded on it himself. Used 9 ro 10 rods, who knows what kind, and what a mess when he got done. He called and said the manifold was fixed and wanted me to come and start the tractor. It started right up, but had a real nice knock in the engine. Half of the rods he burnt went through the manifold and down on the pistons. He wasn't happy when I told him the knock was his doing, picked up my tools and left. Jeremys right, get somebody that can weld cast iron.
