Several months ago I bought what I thought (and still do ) a very well maintained CUB it runs great came with a single point hitch and a nice set of cultivators and fertilizer hopper. After futher inspection and some help from a gentelman that sold these for many years the grill it seems was replaced with a newer one and the plate that would have the ser.# on it is missing. My question is is there any way of pinning down the year of this machine without the ser.#. It has a mag and the retired dealer told me he had sold many of the single point hitches for older cubs to be retrofitted. Also the pitman arms for the steering links are not keyed as I have notice in some of the newer ones and have been welded. Best guess I have right now is its around a 1947 model. Thanks jim P.S. Please excuse if Iam not right on with some of the part terms hope though Yall can still figure it out.
