The "Wild Women" thing was a hoax just to get you farmall guys attention. I am gathering parts to equip my 1939 Farmall M over to a starter. It has a magneto and came from the dealer without starter and electrics. I have found a starter, generator and bracket, cables, starter switch etc. I am going to leave the magneto system as is. My electronics will be only to recharge the battery and provide lights. I have seen many M's and the Battery box location varies from under the seat to under the fuel tank. In 1939 which location would have been standard? This looks like a Saturday morning job once I have all the parts assembled. Imagine having a tractor all those years without a starter..but the old M usually fired on the second lift of the crank, and I can assure you from experience that the magneto puts out an awfull kick of juice. Thanks for any imput...MIKE
