i just converted my 240 utility to 12v . i live in northren minnesota so it greatly helped it for starting on those 0 degree days. one thing you need to keepin mind is that you will need to change over to 12v lights and add a chrysler balast resister and a 12v condencer on the positive wire to the coil, i also had a hard time finding an alternator that would bolt up with out lots of modifications, i ended up using a small framed chrysler alternator with an external regulator . hey it took some work but then again when i need it to start for snow removal it does so in my oppnion it was worth it all
