I'm just about finished fixing up my old IH 240 Utility. I'm concerned the hydraulics are putting to much of a load on the engine when I engage it. Being new to tractors I didn't know there was something to be concerned about until I took my neighbor's 9N for a spin. His hydraulic system puts little or no load on his engine when engaged. My hydraulics will kill my tractor if engaged while I sit at an idle. Can anyone advise me on how much engine load is acceptable and where to look for a problem if one exists? Thanks,
