Sometimes the hydraulic systems aren't different, depends on the year. The M had a 248 cu inch displacement, 3 7/8 bore, the supers had a 264 ci displacement engine or 4" bore stock, supers woudl go to a 4 1/8 overbore. I believe the late model super m's had the lift all under the rear of the fuel tank and battery under the seat whereas earlier supers and all m's ahd the battery under the fuel tank. Some of each were equiped with live hydraulics but think those were after market units. I'm sure theere were other internal differences, think someone said the transmission gearing was different in them.
