I've got a model 46 and it works very well. It was in good shape when I got it about 12 years ago and all I've ever done is replace a couple of tines and the tires. The only problem I ever had was one year I had trouble with it missing about every 30th bale. Turned out 3 of the 4 springs that work the hay retainers were gone. I replaced them and it rarely misses a bale. They were made in the 60's and midway through they were modified to add a bale thrower. Having the manuals is very usefull also.
