on the lower carb body is an idle jet, made of brass that screws in and is about 3/4 inches tall. right next to is is what is called the "main air bleed" in the book. on mine this looks like a large opening that is filled with brass and a small hole bored into it. does anyone know if this is normal or how big a hole should be in it? The first time I took the carb apart I cleaned the orface in it with a torch tip cleaner. later found out that was wrong so I replaced the idle jet but am still wondering about the air bleed if the hold in it is too big or too small or if the brass should be in the hole at all?
