I have a flywheel grinder and surface flywheels. If you take a flywheel that has a had a woven clutch disc run on it, the flywheel usually looks good (smooth) up until you start grinding. Then oh boy they are a warped up crooked mess. I was like everyone else when it came to flywheels before I got the flywheel grinder. "It looks good I'll just run it." From what I've found as a rule the better the flywheel looks the bigger the mess it is. I will never put a clutch again with out grinding the flywheel. And this is from the school of hard knocks.
