On my carburetor there isn't any adjustment on the float either. You have to carefully bend the float with a small needle noise pliers. Make sure that the float works smoothly on the pivot shaft and that it doesn't touch the sides when you reassemble it. The book should give you the proper measument of the float. Mine was something like 1 5/16" measuring with the gasket on, upside down, to the top of the float. I believe that I disassembled it and made it another 1/16" lower? You will have to check the spec. for your carburetor, they will be different from mine. Bob
