Sounds like you found a pretty nice tractor. I have been using a 1948 Super A for about 10 years now and it's a great little tractor, especially for a small farm. This tracotr will pull a 1 bottom plow no problem, have even pulled my 2 bottom 14" plow with it, but not over any really hard to plow soil. It's a pretty good all round tractor. A fair price depends on condition and tooling the guy has with it. Most of the implements are easy enough to find still, but that adds to your overall cost. A couple front loaders were available, I have one made by Henderson Manufacturing co. that works great!!! I use it to clean manure weekly and have had no problems with it. Also put a blade on it and use it for snow in the winter, much better set up than the IH blade as you can pile the snow alot higher!!! As far as problems, check the transmission seals as they tended to leak on alot of them. There are small holes in the bottom of the tranmission case and you can see if oil is dripping out of them. An easy enough fix to install seals. Thats about all the problems I have had with mine to speak off. Well hope that helps you a little. I have been farming with mine and find it a great all round tractor. I also have an H which I use to do any really heavy work, but wind up using the SUPER A more often. Good luck!

No. I am just happy to have their friendship. At least the word "farmer" is in my title. But what is the attraction? How can I explain the sensation and exhilaration I feel when I turn the key and hear the engine come to life (most
