I used a Super A and then a 140 with a belly mower for almost 20 years to mow my 5 acres. Until I moved. Sold the 140 to the guy that bought my place. As far as I know he is still using it. They are not that hard to steer. My wife used to mow with it on a regular basis. I don't agree that they are not suited to mowing. With the Woods L59 mower, the discharge is to the rear and to the left. With the offset, you can see right where to trim on the right hand side. Of course they are not nearly as manueverable as a good hyrostatic garden tractor, but sure are a lot tougher. How many garden tractors do you know that are still going 50 years old?? Bigest disadvantage for you situation is the height going under the trees. You need all limbs trimmed off so you have at least 6 ft clearance under them. 7 ft would be better.
