The Woods is mounted to the final drive housings. There is fairly substantial frame that sits between the axles and bolts into the front holes of the housings. It does two things. Supports two peices of channel iron pointing toward the middle of the tractor that bolt to the mower deck. It also supports two drive belt idler pulleys that serve to turn the belt from the PTO to the deck and are slot mounted to adjust slack. The Woods literature has some good pics.
