According to Ken Updike's book, the last 140 serial number was 66790. From that subtract the first 500 numbers that weren't used and you aren't much over 66,000. It is not unusual for some numbers to be unused, so the total could be less than that. Even though the 140 was built from '58 to '79, some of those years were very low volume. By comparison, the A/B combination was built from '39 to '47, with time out during the war. The total on them was about 3 times the total of 140s.
