Duffy: I thought I'd add that the last tractor I bought, a '48, had little wear on the notches of the throttle lever or steering U-joints or bushings or front wheels assembly.. etc. Little wear on older rear tires. Another point is all gears shifted well and shifter lever had a nice solid feel when in each gear. It had a cultivator mounted that looked like it had been on it for many years and thats lite work. Alone with a very low serial number and reasonable price I just had to take it along home even tho the down side was it had lower compression in one cylinder but showed NO blue or white or black smoke at any time. (Nothing is perfect) ralph
