YOu can use either 90W gear oil or HyTran (universal tractor fluid) in the final drives. Grease is not the proper lubricant. Someone had leaking seals or gaskets and tried to fix it by using grease. As Big Fred says, you need to get new gaskets for the final drive pans and then remove the pans and clean them out and the grease off the gears. Put the pans back on with the new gaskets (use some gasket sealer on them) and fill er up to the bottom of the fill hole.
