Every H, M, Super M, M-TA that Dad ever had had a 5/15" or 3/8" dia. rod with little clips that bolted under the frt two transmission cover bolts on the operator's platform. Both ends of the rod were bent over about an inch at about a 180 degrees from each other. The left side bent towards the rear of the tractor, and the right side bent towards the frt of the tractor and set under the brake latch. Worked SO SLICK that you could drive the tractor up, Stop, shift into nuetral, set brake and be off the tractor in a heart beat. No extra motions. When Dad got the 450 with the contraption IH put on them it was a REAL step backwards!
