The quick answer is lots of money. So is the second answer. One earlier post pointed out there are no cities there so there are no people to use such a tunnel. The long answer is kind of rough but goes like this. Find the cost of the England-to-France Channel Tunnel (Chunnel) and divide it by the number of miles covered. Take that cost per mile and multiply it by the distance in miles from South America to Antarctica. That gives you the estimated cost for the time the chunnel was completed. Multiply that by the inflation rate between now and then, and you have a rough estimate. Good luck. All this information would be relatively available on the internet.
