I paid $1500. I live in Texas and I bought this 400 in Missouri, about an 8 hour drive. I looked around in Texas and surrounding areas for 400s and 450s. The lowest price I saw was for a 400 in Fort Worth described as a "parts tractor" priced at $875. The highest I saw was for a 450 in Central Texas priced at $4,800 - good condition, new paint, fast hitch with 3 point adaptor, good TA. Running projects were in the $2,000 range. Tratcors in good condition with a working TA were in the $3,000 range.

As The Red noted, the TA is a weak point. A TA rebuild costs a lot, so it has a big impact on price as I found out.
