I'm envious. I spent many, many hours on my dad's 400D as a kid, and would love to have one someday. Dad bought ours new, don't know what year it was, and we had no problems with the T/A up to the time dad stopped farming in '80. Our 400 probably didn't get worked as hard as many, though, as we always had a big tractor like our 660, 806 and later the JD 4430 for heavy tillage and the 400 was used for baling and other PTO implement work. Congrats on the purchase, I'm sure you will enjoy the heck out of it.
