I got into a job like that a few years ago. But I think I was replacing the clutch release sleeve instead. I'm not sure if you have room to get the joint apart without removing the shaft also. I think in order to remove the shaft and sleeve I unbolted and removed the clutch assembly with the shaft and sleeve all at the same time. It's not that hard to do. As long as it's an M and not a Super M. The Super M has a larger clutch and I think it has to be split in order to remove the clutch. Reinstalling the clutch isn't that hard either and the shaft acts as the perfect alignment tool. Good luck. Dave
