140 farmall timing

I HAVE A 1965 140, ARE THESE A GEAR DRIVE ON THE IGNITION TIMING? ALSO WHAT DRIVES THE DISTRIBUTOR? THE ROTOR DOES NOT SEEM TO KEEP UP WITH THE CRANKING MOTION OF THE ENGINE, IS THE ONLY TIMING MARKINGS ON THE FLYWHEEL AREA ? ALL THE MANUALS I HAVE ARE PRETTY VAGUE, AND ALTHOUGH I FEEL VERY CONFIDENT ABOUT MY MECHANICAL ABILITIES I WOULD PREFER TO KNOW A LITTLE MORE ABOUT WHAT I AM GOING GETTING INTO, ANY HELP WILL GREATL7Y APPRECIATED. SO WOULD ANY INTERNAL DIAGRAMS. THANK YOU MIKE
