If you have a V8, and your terraine is relatively level, you can do it. If you have hills, it will be a problem. I hope you have the trailer package on your chevy which includes the engine oil cooler and the transmission cooler. If you don't have those, I would recommend against hauling something that heavy that far. And definitely STAY OUT OF OVERDRIVE! If you plan to do much hauling of that tractor, you will need a 3/4 ton truck minimum.
