My Dad had one of those live power conversions on his M. It was bolted on to the brake housing somehow I think. It gave you a hand clutch that you used to stop motion of the tractor without stopping the transmission, PTO, and belly pump I think. If you used the foot clutch, everything stopped in the normal fashion. I don't think he liked it very much because he sold the unit long before he got rid of the M.
