Well I just found a little more info. I have a calendar here at work that has the last Production dates for Letter & F-series noted. Last H was built 1-26-53 and Last HV built 2-3-53. Probably running about 375 Super M's a day at Farmall and didn't have time for H's anymore! The Super H's probably would have started right up and maybe even overlapped the H a day or so. I do remember reading the break between the early & late Super H's was either real late Oct. or first week of Nov. '53. My tractor, 22357, was supposedly made the end of the first week of January '54, 1-7-45 to be exact according to UN-OFFICIAL FARMALL PLANT RECORDS when I worked there. And the LAST Super H and SHV was built 10-22-54. No Number series info on this calender. But I know Ken Updike & Guy Fay have access to the IHC archives, and Guy specifically stated in His Letter Series restoration guide I think it was that NO PROOF exists that Super H-TA's were ever made. As far as the differences between tractors, The swinging side bolster, battery box seat etc. would be "POST 19227 Serial number" but could still be a '53. There could be 3000 tractors like that. The early tractors still had the H frt bolster. I don't believe any tractors after 19227 serial number have that style bolster. At least I've never seen any. Any major components that would be date coded as a casting and were replaced would have an out-of-sequence" date code. My tractor is mostly Dec. '53 except for an axle carrier or somthing that got lost in August or Sept. and not used till Jan. I've been in manufacturing plants for over 25 years and IT HAPPENS! I wouldn't think a C-164 engine would end up on a 300. But I could believe a C-169 in a Super H. Engines were still made AT FARMALL at that time. Some of the brackets are differenet between the two engines, Choke & throttle come first to mind. Hope I've helped explain some of the events somewhat. Where IS this Super H-TA and What's It's serial #? I think the SM-TA started at 75,000 after the Super M. The SH-TA would have followed that pattern too. BTW, Last SM-TA built 10-15-54. The SH-TA would be the Ultimate Collector tractor. IDEAL for what I use MY SH for, Live PTO, Fast-Hitch, T/A. I grew up 20 MILES from FARMALL, I can remember the neighbor asking once when We were baling and I had My Super H and other Neighbor Had His 350 there, and Dad was coming down the road on the M-TA if there ever was an H-TA. Dad said NO then in about 1967, and They closed the plant in May '85. Seems Like the H-TA's have appeared Since then! I'd like to see this H-TA!

An AC Model M Crawler - by Anthony West. Neil Atkins is a man in his late thirties, a mild and patient character who talks fondly of his farming heritage. He farms around a hundred and fifty acres of arable land, in a village called Southam, located just outside Leamington Spa in Warwickshire. The soil is a rich dark brown and is well looked after. unlike some areas in the midlands it is also fairly flat, broken only by hedgerows and the occasional valley and brook. A copse of wildbreaking silver birch and oak trees surround the top si
