To remove the housing from the transmission there are six bolts and two threaded dowel pins. The dowels are located between the pairs of bolts you remove from inside the housing. Take them out first. Put a nut on the threaded part and it will pull the pin as you turn the nut against the casting. These are longer than the dowels in the front (engine) end of the housing so you may need to add washers under the nut when you run out of threads. I hope yours are in better shape than mine. A previous owner had let something like wire wrap around the input shaft at one time and the dowel threads were partly gone. A nut wouldn't go on it so I had to pry things apart. Also, I don't know if you have the engine off of the housing yet but in order to pull the engine off of the front, you have to remove the starter to access a cap screw that goes into the block. It would be a good idea to strip the housing as much as possible before separating everything. Remove the belly pump and take the clutch pedal spring loose. If you plan to use a hoist, you don't have to remove the u-joint looking yoke and clutch shaft. It can stay with the transmission input shaft while you move the housing forward. Above all, be careful. Use your brain before you use your back and you'll preserve them both. All of these parts are bulky and gravity has an affinity for them.
