Is that a grease fitting or just a glob of grease? Mine looks like that but has a screw in the hub. Instructions are to remove the screw, turn to the side as shown in your picture, squirt in motor oil, turn hub till hole is down to drain excess, and replace screw plug. I've heard that term standpipe but an unfamiliar. Matbe some internal pipe allowing some oil to remain during the draining step above?
