Before repairing an "H" we had been pulling some tree stumps out and experienced same. Removed the lower bolster and dropped the pivot shaft. Found the thrust bearing had bad wear and allowed the pivot shaft to move up against the cavity in the upper bolster, rounding it out. Consequently, the boss on bottom of upper bolster cut a depression ring into the top side of the pivot shaft plate. I'd look after it afore it causes real damage to the upper bolster casting! "TU"
