The Farmall 460 is a nice tractor to have for small jobs. It is nimble enough for small area's & the motor is strong. I've had a loader on mine for snow removal & it works great. The ground clearance is higher than the 300U if you plan on planting a tall crop, such as corn. As far as the front-end on the 300U, with a loader, I don't see that adversly affecting wear. Atleast not with a light-duty utility loader. If you plan on lifting more than snow, you'll have to add weight to the back. Which isn't a bad idea, anyway, for traction on ice. No matter what you decide, a loader with a Hyd. bucket is a must to help you free yourself if you were to get stuck. Both ways you will have no problems with your 1-acre, brush hog & snow removal. Good Luck!
