Dave, I live in Coldwater, not too far from G.R. I will look at it tomorrow to see if I can find the timing mark. Should the impulse click at the mark or should the mark be timing when the engine is running? I told my neighbor I think part of the problem is too small cables, they are the 12V kind. I need to do some work on this converted mag. One of the screws that hold the coil cover on is broken off. I am going to try to remove the magnets and make a new cover to mount the coil on. The generator and starter both need to be checked out at or local auto electric shop. Exhaust manifold is full of holes and the brake problem I talked about. Also the clutch pedal return spring under the platform is broken. Other than that she's just about a perfectly old rusty tractor and I'd like to see her earning her keep again. This tractor was a present to my neighbor's son from his now deceased grandfather, so it has some sentimental value to the family. Thanks for the help. Paul
