You have a utility version of a Farmall 300. The model development sequence was: Farmall H; Super H (series I & II); 300; 350; and 460 (with a 6 cylinder engine). The H came out in 1939, Series I SH in 1953, Series II SH in late 1953, the 300 I think in late 1954 or 1955, the 350 in 1956(?), and the 460 around 1959. The Farmall designation was for the row-crop models with the 38" diameter rear wheels and commonly with the tricycle fronts. Your 300 utilities were relatively new (ie: there wasn't a SH utility). The closest thing you will find to it's predecessors might be the W4 and Super W4 International tractors. They also have the lower center of gravity and wide fronts, but the operator platform is moved back. On the engine parts, the Farmall 300 has the same engine, only the utility version is governed a little higher. Good Luck, Stan(VA).

It was an Allis-Chalmers tractor dealership,
