I used dry ice to remove and install sleeves on a 300 IH tractor. We fill the cylinders with dry ice and sure enough, after a few moments, we could tap them out. Only one of them gave us a little trouble. It was in bad shape anyway. Then we put the new sleeves into a cooler with dry ice in it. After a few hours, we opened the cooler and removed the sleeves and quickly placed them into the block. Key word - QUICKLY. Once the sleeves touches the block, it will begin to expand, so time is a major factor. It ended up being a fairly simple project.
