Snow blade for fast hitch question

Today I bought a home made blade for a Super C. It had the fast hitch arms he said from an old fast hitch plow and is welded to a 6' grader blade. He said he had used it for many years. Here is my ?. It is made to where the blade goes straight across behind the tractor and has no way to angle it to the right or left at all. Will this plow snow OK or will it all just pile up and go over the top of it? I only have $35 bucks in it so if you think it won't work I have not lost to much.Thanks for any ideas
