IH 454 comments

I saw an IH 454 for sale at a MF dealer this weekend. It is clean but has car tires on the front and turf tires on the rear. It was gas with what looked to be a hydrostatic transmission. I was looking for a general purpose tractor around 35-40 HP. Are these good tractors or a model to stay away from? Any thing special to look out for? Any comments or details about this model appreciated. Thanks, Daniel
