Irv , your manifold is likely a distillate burning manifold, unless it was replaced by an aftermarket manifold. I put an after market manifold on another H I have and it is different in the way the fuel is chambered into the cylinder, the flow does not go so high up into the heated exhaust area like a stock manifold and therefore would not heat the distillate as well, nor increase the running temperature.
