Tom,I believe thes M&W clutches were an add on kit that a farmer could get to give LIVE POWER. The features of the kit was that a farmer was supposed to be able to install it in about 45minutes with his simple tools. Usually you removed the left brake and drum, removed the housing and took out the shaft and installed the new one . Then your "clutch" slipped on and the hand lever housing. A special wide brake housing then fit over everything and you then had a hand clutch and a brake. It was supposed to be a very simple installation as that was the selling feature of the clutch.Lots of H's and M's ran M&W clutches to upgrade them to a "LIVE PTO" MIKE in Exeter Ontario.
