My experience indicates that the tilt feature works better on the more powerful, heavier tractors. When cutting a ditch, all the pulling resistance is on one side. This has a tendency to "steer" lighter tractors. Necessitates taking a very light cut with each pass. Motor graders have very long wheelbases to help offset the tendency for the blade to steer.
