If you are just going to plow snow and grade your driveway, you don't need tilt. If you are going to make ditches with it you will need the tilt. Generally you get a little more for your money than just the tilt feature. The ones that tilt are usually a heavy duty blade. I have a blade that is sort of in between. You can tilt it by changing bolts that attach the blade to the frame. Not so convenient, but will do the job. I've never used the feature though.
