I replaced points and condensor once and my H would not run. Checked everything twice and could not figure it out. Pulled the condensor and looked at it and noticed the forked connector on the end of the wire was long. That was it. When seated against the set screw in the distributor the long forks grounded out. Cut the fork short and it ran great. Look for grounded components.
